Notes on Recording of Lecture 11-03-2025 (March 11, 2025)

-Code of Ethics
-Guides of following ethics codes can be found around us
-Can be found in the workplace or wherever

-Within the pamphlet example:
-Left column includes things that happen when people follow ethics guidelines
-Right column gives the guidelines on how to follow the code of ethics
-Both Columns are based off of utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethicss

-Pretty much every place has a code of ethics
-Example with a sports team:
-Coaches have a code of ethics on how to do their jobs
-Players also have a code of ethics
-In cases of professional sports, the team management system has a code of ethics

-Even signs at parks have a code of ethics (Example in Pinnacle Mountain Park Map)
-Ethical Codes as these can be characterized with:
-Utilitarianism: ethical if beneficial
-Deontology: Ethical if rule followed, regardless of result
